I’m still trying to get caught up from being away from home for half of January and then being sick with a horrible cold when I did get home. The piles of receipts on my desk are threatening to take over. I have some entries to make in Quicken to finish up 2016 and be ready for taxes later this month. And I haven’t even thought about tackling anything outside – I just look out the window to the back yard and sort of shudder.
My main goal this weekend is to take down most of the Christmas decorations – the tree and my Santa collection. I’m going to leave up the floral décor until the end of February. By then I’ll be ready to bring out the spring flowers.
I attended my first Master Gardener training class this past Tuesday. Luckily, it was mostly a fill-in-the-paperwork, get-to-know-you, here’s-the-test-format type of meeting. With the cold I had, anything more would have been difficult to absorb. I must remember that I have Master Gardener homework to get done before next Tuesday!
I get it on the homework bit. I have homework from my Stephen ministry class and I haven’t figured out how to do it not too early so I am not current with it and not too late so I feel stressed and rush. But it’s a good problem to have. 🙂
It is a good problem to have! 🙂
I know I’ll need to begin reading the homework earlier than I did last week – a Friday start was really too late. But, with my cold last week, any earlier and I wouldn’t have had the brain power anyway.
