I learned a few things while living in Arizona. One is that I have some necessary requirements about my natural surroundings, in addition to the need for sunshine, warmth, and the lack of cold, snow, and ice, which were givens.
See if you can guess from these pictures!
Yes! Trees and Water! And not just trees, but big trees! Shade trees! Trees without thorns!
Texas isn’t perfect (is any place?), but it does have an abundance of trees and water (lakes, rivers, reservoirs). And that makes it pretty danged good.
That last tree is so beautiful. Look at those branches, such character. I guess it reminds me of a bonsai tree. I wonder if it is the variety of tree or the growing conditions that makes the branches grow like that.
Trees are endlessly fascinating to me.
I also love water and trees – glad you have them around you again!
Thanks, Missus Wookie. I am glad, too!
I always figure that if the trees can find the resources to grow big and full like that, then it is a good place to live.
My thoughts exactly, Roberta!
