Mudding Fun

I’ve been assured that mudding drywall is fun, but I’ve yet to see how.  In any case, we did the first go around with our new wall on New Year’s weekend.  Bill says we have to go over it again at least once, maybe twice.

Hallway side of the new wall.
And the inside wall.
And the other half of the inside wall.

And I heard something about sanding, as well.  I’m so excited.

  1. I hate mudding and I feel like I’ve done quite a bit for a do-it-yourselfer/homeowner. Never could get the consistency right or get it spread the correct thickness. Sanding was the worst. Right or wrong, I had better luck damp sanding. In the end, I never felt like the job looked nice enough. Good luck! By the way, why didn’t you tape the corners and ceiling? Will you be putting trim there instead?

    • I don’t know, I’m not in charge! LOL Honestly, I’m not sure. Around the door there will be trim. There’s no trim around the ceiling anywhere upstairs, so I don’t think that was his plan. I told Bill I’d let him do the job and if it was horrible, I’d hire someone to come in and redo it. How’s that for a vote of confidence?
