Pink Leg Warmers

Miss Munchkin has a birthday coming up next month – can you believe she will be eight? No way!

I showed her a Pinterest pin of Girly Leg Warmers and asked if those were something she would wear. Her response? “Oh yes! So cute!”

And here they are, completed with time to spare before I need to send her birthday package in the mail. I hope they fit!

I crocheted the leg warmers with Loops & Threads Charisma Baby yarn (Pink), a very soft yarn that I also used to make both Miss Munchkin and Miss Kitty ponchos Christmas 2012.

I am super pleased with them. In fact, I’m tempted to make myself a pair, albeit in a slightly different color!

  1. I need to take this lesson from you and divide up some pinterest files…. Love the legwarmers. Let me know if you do a pair for you. I’m on the lookout for alternatives to thermals when I’m visiting Maine in the winter, preferably things that don’t make it more difficult to climb over baby gates.

    • It took me a whole weekend, several hours, to get my one Crochet board divided up and pins moved, but it was well worth the effort, I think. As for socks, I wear long knee highs all winter … used to buy soccer socks, but now I can find “diabetes” socks in the men’s department at Wal-mart. They are warm, not too tight, but they stay up very well. Indispensable to me once the outside temperature drops below 70.
