Pastel Panels Baby Afghan

I finished the last baby afghan for 2012.
This one is a gift to a cousin who had her first baby in November.

The main color is Bernat Baby Sport Baby Pink Marl and the contrasting color is Red Heart Shimmer Snow. Finished size is 40” x 42”.

And here’s a close-up of the blanket folded into quarters, so you can see the pattern better.

Since momma and baby lives in southern California, I needed a lighter weight afghan than the blanket I made earlier for her sister’s baby (who lives in Maine!). I chose the Pastel Panels pattern from Our Best Baby Afghans (Leisure Arts #2853).

I really liked this pattern and decided to use it to make a baby doll blanket for Miss Munchkin.

This baby doll blanket measures the size of a sheet of paper and took about an hour and a half to make, mostly because there were a lot of ends to tuck in with all the color changes.

Now I need to finish up a couple of Christmas gifts and repair a crocheted afghan that I gave to my daughter years ago.
Then I can begin a new project! Or maybe tackle a couple of crocheted jewelry projects!
