Playing With Cotton Yarn

Having completed four cotton place mats (& not having enough yarn to make a fifth) I decided to play around a bit, making some plant pads.

Iā€™m going to make some more to use as hot pads for the few times we actually eat at the table!

These designs are from Beyond the Square Crochet Motifs: 144 circles, hexagons, triangles, squares, and other unexpected shapes,
which is my new favorite crochet book. I made this baby doll blanket from Miss Munchkin from one of the motifs shown in the book.

It has given me many ideas for so many projects!

    • Thanks! I made up a couple of hot pads, but then put them in the mail to my Mom for the Hayes Reunion Annual Auction. And now I can’t find any more of that color yarn at the local wal-mart! Oh no!

    • I am going to have to order it directly from the company, as it appears most businesses are no longer carrying it. I have tried a couple of other color combinations, but that Sea Foam one is definitely my favorite so far.
