Having completed four cotton place mats (& not having enough yarn to make a fifth) I decided to play around a bit, making some plant pads.
Iām going to make some more to use as hot pads for the few times we actually eat at the table!
These designs are from Beyond the Square Crochet Motifs: 144 circles, hexagons, triangles, squares, and other unexpected shapes
which is my new favorite crochet book. I made this baby doll blanket from Miss Munchkin from one of the motifs shown in the book.
It has given me many ideas for so many projects!

Thanks! I made up a couple of hot pads, but then put them in the mail to my Mom for the Hayes Reunion Annual Auction. And now I can’t find any more of that color yarn at the local wal-mart! Oh no!

I am going to have to order it directly from the company, as it appears most businesses are no longer carrying it. I have tried a couple of other color combinations, but that Sea Foam one is definitely my favorite so far.
