One of our goals this year is to begin putting more money into savings and retirement funds, so I set our account up today. I chose the money market fund option rather than a trading fund and have until the end of March to fund it. I can wait until the next payday (which only comes around once a month here) and then set up the automatic deposits. Saving in an account that is not with our usual bank might make it easier to forget about that money being stashed away and make it less likely to be spent. Out of sight, out of mind, right?
